Gulfstream G800 Sets New Benchmarks in Global Business Aviation

Gulfstream’s newest flagship, the G800, continues to underscore its long-range capability with a growing list of speed achievements. Most recently, the aircraft completed a Phuket–Dubai sector in 5 hours and 38 minutes, marking its eighth city-pair record since entering service. This accomplishment forms part of a wider milestone for Gulfstream, whose fleet now boasts more than 760 such records.


The G800’s earlier high-performance flights include Miami–Riyadh in 12 hours, 33 minutes and Florence–Savannah, Georgia in 9 hours, 33 minutes. Certified in August 2025, the aircraft has quickly demonstrated the capabilities celebrated by Gulfstream President Mark Burns, who noted the strong demand already surrounding the model.

Alongside the G800, the G700, continuing its own record-setting trajectory with over 90 city-pair speed records, including Dubai–Sydney in 12 hours, 50 minutes, Jakarta–Lagos in 12 hours, 41 minutes, Abu Dhabi–London in 7 hours, 48 minutes, and Dubai–Hong Kong in 6 hours, 30 minutes.

Designed for exceptional range, the G800 can fly 8,200 nm at Mach 0.85 or 7,000 nm at Mach 0.90, supported by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. Its cabin offers 100% fresh air, a 2,840-ft cabin altitude at 41,000 ft, a plasma ionisation air purification system, and 16 panoramic oval windows, configurable into up to four living areas.
