New Business Site Exploration

Client Requirement
We recently had a client who required a charter flight to investigate a number of remote locations for potential new business opportunities in remote Queensland locations including one in far North Queensland. Previously, our client had organised their own aircraft charters but due to the complexity of this task they were having trouble finding an aircraft operator who could meet their needs. They approached the team at Adagold Aviation to seek assistance in organising their next requirement.

Challenges
The client required a cost and time effective service that still met their comfort requirements. There were a number of operational challenges to overcome, particularly with constraints of various airstrips and also on flight crew restrictions. Adagold Aviation worked with the aircraft operator to formulate an aviation solution to meet the client’s requirements for aircraft, crew and the time required on the ground in each location. The plan was communicated to the client and a detailed overview of the day’s proceedings was provided.

Solutions
The night prior to the charter the client called and wanted to substitute a destination due to an unexpected change of plans. The charter flying time was very similar to the previous itinerary and due to our good working relationship with the aircraft operator there were no extra charges added for the change in plans.

Outcome
There are always various issues that arise behind the scenes when flying to remote locations but with the depth and understanding of the industry and the operational nuances of individual aircraft that the team at Adagold Aviation have, we were able to offer a smooth and cost effective charter for the client and take all the headache out of the process for them.

High Flying Public Speaker

Client Requirement
Our client, a talent management company, required a last minute charter for their client who is a high profile public speaker. They needed to travel from a regional area in Victoria to Adelaide. Our client required a charter aircraft to meet the busy schedule of their client as the commercial airline schedules did not meet the required schedule. Being a high profile passenger, an increased level of discretion and confidentiality was required which only a chartered aircraft could provide.

Challenges
Our client expected an efficient and effective charter that met their time and comfort requirements. There were a number of operational challenges to overcome to complete the charter, such as the constraints of the airstrip and the time frame it could be accessed. As with any of Adagold Aviation’s high profile passengers, maintaining discretion was of the utmost importance.

Solutions
The Charter Specialists at Adagold Aviation conducted a market search for the most appropriate aircraft operator who could meet our client’s requirements. Adagold Aviation are able to distinguish the more capable operators in the market who will suit each individual client’s requirement. Not all operators would be able to provide the specific comfort and timing requirements for this particular client. After careful planning with the aerodrome and ground transport services, the charter was conducted as per the required schedule.

Outcome
The client enjoyed a comfortable flight and arrived at all meetings and appointments on time without the inconvenience of changing their schedule to meet a commercial flight schedule. Based on the ease of working with the Adagold Aviation Charter Specialists and the level of service provided, the client is now a repeat customer.

USA Trade Delegation

Adagold Aviation are capable of managing charters across the world. This case study demonstrates how Adagold Aviation managed a time critical trade delegation to the USA.

Our client was organising a 10 day, 8 city trade delegation to the USA on behalf of a major Australian Chamber of Commerce. Twenty delegates were required to attend a number of functions and meetings planned across a number of US cities for the duration of the trade delegation. Commercial travel was not viable for the delegation as it was inflexible and didn’t meet the tight time limits set for the meetings. The best solution was a chartered jet for the entire trip.

By working in collaboration with their U.S connections, the Charter Specialists at Adagold Aviation were able to source an aircraft that could comfortably accommodate all the delegates and their baggage for the duration of the trip.

The chosen aircraft was also able to use private VIP FBO’s which helped maximise the delegations time in each location, as they had direct access to the aircraft without check-in queues to contend with. Adagold Aviation were also able to tailor the inflight catering to suit the delegations particular requirements and tastes. Adagold Aviation provided a dedicated on-board Charter Manager to ensure that the every aspect of the charter went according to plan.

All flights were conducted on schedule with all twenty guests enjoying the experience of the trade delegation. A few unplanned changes were requested from the client which were resolved by the Adagold Aviation Charter Manager and the team with minimal cost involved.

Canberra Bound

This case study demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of Adagold Aviation for the flight requirements of schools and groups travelling to Canberra.

Client requirements
Our client is a local Christian College in southern Queensland who value their annual year level excursion to Canberra for their 140 students and staff.

The most important travel factor for the client is that all students and staff travel together on the same aircraft and arrive in Canberra with sufficient time to complete their half day of activities. Cost is also an important factor due to excursion budget restrictions.

The perfect charter solution
The Charter Specialist team at Adagold Aviation identified an aircraft that met all of client travel requirements, in addition to comfort, performance and capacity expectations. The dedicated Adagold Aviation Charter Manager worked alongside the organiser from the Christian College to ensure the process was streamlined and provided the best use of the client’s time around a busy schedule. To ensure all requirements were met, the Charter Manager oversaw both the departure and arrival of the charter flight.

All flights were conducted on schedule with the 140 guest checked in smoothly in a timely manner. The Adagold Aviation Charter Manager liaised with the College supervisor throughout the duration of the event to ensure any new requirements or changes would be resolved quickly and efficiently. The kids had a great trip to Canberra to see our government and Parliament at work.

Ships Passing In The Night

This case study is an example of how the Charter Specialists at Adagold Aviation are capable of finding unique solutions to unusual requirements. Whether it’s time pressure or a complex requirement. The Charter Specialists will work with you to find the right solution.

Our client was a shipping services company that experienced an unscheduled crew changeover that needed to be resolved in a timely manner. The original crew changeover was meant to occur in Geelong (Victoria) but the ship was anchored off Lakes Entrance (also in Victoria). The new crew needed to be transported from Melbourne to Lakes Entrance, and vice versa for the disembarking crew. In total there were 10 crew ex Melbourne and 9 crew ex Lakes Entrance.

Each passenger was travelling with 20-25kg of baggage, which smaller aircraft cannot always accommodate.

The client originally requested to fly into Bairnsdale, however with our local knowledge we established that they could fly direct to Lakes Entrance. The Adagold Aviation team organised two aircraft to operate on this charter, one for the passengers and the other for the passenger’s baggage.

Get Me To Proserpine!

This case study is an example of how quickly Adagold Aviation can find a solution and arrange a charter to make sure our clients meet their schedule.

Our client, a travel management company, called the Adagold Aviation team at approximately 9:40am looking for an urgent charter for their Sydney based client who missed their flight to Proserpine. The client needed to get to Proserpine by the end of the day, to board a yacht and no other commercial flights were available.

Given the urgency of the requirement, the Adagold Aviation Charter Specialists contacted aircraft operators they knew to be reliable and operated aircraft that would be suitable for the flight. Unfortunately on that day there were no suitable charters available in Sydney. As the team knew it was important for the passenger to get to Proserpine, Adagold Aviation liaised with the travel management company to book a commercial flight for the passenger to travel to Brisbane. In the meantime, the Charter Specialists identified a suitable aircraft operator in Brisbane and engaged their services.

At 3:00pm the passenger arrived in Brisbane on a domestic flight and was greeted at the domestic terminal by an Adagold Aviation representative who transferred them to the Brisbane Jet Base where the chartered jet was ready to depart. The Adagold Aviation team had also arranged for their favourite refreshments and a cheese platter on the jet to get the holiday started. The passenger arrived in Proserpine on time in a relaxed manner to join their friends for the yacht departure that afternoon.

We provided a Program Director as well as 4 dedicated Flight Managers to accompany each flight. This ensured that all schedules were met and all the passengers were comfortable and catered for on the ground and in the air.

Project Location: Brisbane – Roma (Western Queensland)

Client requirements
Ongoing transportation of staff working for a gas project in Western Queensland. Passenger numbers varied between 30 and 50 in each direction due to staff and rostering demands. Return services were required twice weekly, every Monday and Thursday.

Challenges
The client had a firm budget for the FIFO component of its project, therefore, sourcing the most suitable aircraft required an extensive search. The requirement was to provide better time efficiencies than regular passenger air transport and a cost saving.

Solutions
Following a market search across a range of aircraft and operators, Adagold Aviation sourced a Dash 8-300 aircraft, a reliable and versatile aircraft that suited our client’s requirements and provided cost savings. The client utilised Adagold Aviation’s Brisbane Jet Base which provided a seamless and efficient loading and unloading of the aircraft, as well as easy access for the passengers. Using ACAPS Global, simple manifesting and passenger changes were capable of being performed up to the last minute. A monthly report was provided to the client outlining exact staff movements, flight timings and associated costs.

Outcome

Cargo

Project Locations: North Queensland, Germany

Client requirements
Our client, a mining contractor in North Queensland, suffered a major failure of a mechanical component. Each hour the equipment was inoperable was extremely costly. A replacement component was sourced in Germany and the most expedient way of transporting it to site was required.

Challenges
The component comprised three pieces, weighing 4 tonnes. The fastest way to transport the component was by air cargo which required a long range cargo aircraft for the intercontinental leg and a smaller cargo aircraft to access the smaller airstrip at the mine site.

Solutions
Within two hours of the initial call, the Adagold Aviation Cargo Team had a number of options to consider. Hours later, the component was loaded onto a dedicated Airbus A300 cargo plane and dispatched to Australia. In the meantime, our team had arranged for a smaller aircraft in North Queensland to transport the component on the final leg of its journey.

Outcome
Just 24 hours after leaving Germany, the aircraft landed and transferred the component to the smaller aircraft. Our knowledge and experience saved the client tens of thousands of dollars in lost time by having the component on site in just 33 hours.
