Which Private Jet Is Best Suited For Your Charter Flight?

23 Aug, 2022 | News

There is a plethora of information regarding private jets and other aircraft online, and it can be hard to sift through all of the information to decide which one is right for your charter flight. The truth is, the right private jet or aircraft will be dependent on where you’re going and how many people you’ve got to get there. So, let’s dig in.

Short to Medium Distance Regional Travel

If you’re looking to travel a short to medium distance to or from a regional town, there are a number of jets that can be procured to help. You’re going to want something that can land on an unsealed (dirt) landing strip, but the range doesn’t need to be too high. A turboprop aircraft like a Beechcraft Kingair 200 or a jet such as the Cessna Mustang is great for smaller groups, seating up to 12 and up to 5 passengers, respectively. Likewise, the Pilatus PC24 seats a similar number of people and has a great reputation for flying medical professionals around the country. For something a little more luxurious, the Embraer Phenom 300E will have you flying in style. There are a few to choose from in this category of charter flights, so the choice is largely up to preference.

International Travel

For those flying international, we’d highly recommend considering the Bombardier Global Express. This private jet has all of the features you’d want on a long-haul international charter flight. For example, lie-flat beds and a full galley (kitchen). The Bombardier Global Express seats up to 17 passengers and has a great reputation for transporting political officials, musicians and more – so if you want to make like your favourite rockstar when you arrive at your destination, this is the jet for you. Alternatively, you could choose something like the Dassault Falcon 900, which holds a similar amount of passengers and sports a number of excellent features too such as a three-zone cabin for those private meetings or peaceful in-flight naps.

Luxury Travel

Luxury travel requires a luxurious private jet to match. Similarly to international travel, two of our most popular choices for this are the Bombardier Global Express, the Dassault Falcon 900 and the Gulfstream 650. These private jets can accommodate a little snooze while in-flight, and the Bombardier Global Express and Gulfstream 650 even boast noise and vibration cancellation features to ensure you get a great rest while aboard the flight. Both of these jets seat around 14 to 17 people and have gorgeous interiors that will complement any escape that you’ve got planned – whether it’s a milestone birthday, a honeymoon, or an event.

Business Travel

Travelling for business can be tricky and cause some major stress if you’re trying to meet a deadline or get to a destination on time. Especially if you’re facing delays, cancellations or crowded airports. Giving yourself the room to breathe and the ability to work on your own schedule can have a huge impact when you’re travelling for work. For this type of travel, we recommend something like the Embraer Phenom 300E or Cessna CJ. Not only do these jets have stylish and comfortable interiors, but many are also equipped with power outlets for charging your devices, can travel at commercial airliner speeds and are equipped with reclining seats to relax once you’ve completed the task at hand. If you’d prefer something that can get you to a regional destination with ease, try the Beechcraft Kingair 200 prop aircraft. Alternatively, the Bombardier Challenger is also a standout in its field of business travel with a cavernous cabin, generous range and galley.

FIFO and Large Group Travel

Finally, Fly-In-Fly-Out and large group travel is a big task and takes a lot of coordination to achieve a seamless and smooth flight. If you’ve got groups to move, it’s worth investigating whether chartering a large private jet airliner is worth your while. If you’re in this market, some jets that are great for the task are the Fokker 100, Boeing 737, Airbus A320, the Embraer E190 and the BaE 146.
